(v. 22) David, a man after God’s own heart; a man of worship, is talking to his soul and he is commanding it to bless the LORD. “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and FORGET NOT all his benefits” Psalm 103:2. If we forget any of God’s benefits… If we forget the blessings He’s given to us… We can end up being ungrateful and taking what we have for granted Ps 103 does not use the word gratitude or thanksgiving, yet this Psalm does what thanksgiving is. It ascribes praise to the Lord, it makes much of God, it takes the posture of humble rejoicing. It stands in the aroma of God’s undeserved goodness and mercy, and breathes it in as deeply as it can, and then sings! Today, let's embark on a soul-enriching journey through the timeless words of Psalm 103:1-2. This passage, penned by David, beckons us to reflect on the boundless blessings of the Lord and invites us into a profound encounter with His grace. And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
