It’s time for Parkway Bakery & Tavern’s annual #IDidItForTheTurkey fundraiser and its renowned Thanksgiving Poor Boy. The Mid-City po’boy shop is once again uniting with the Al Copeland Foundation to raise funds for to eliminate cancer through the consumption of Thanksgiving po’boys. People who make a $100 contribution to the ACF get a Thanksgiving po-boy, fries, a soft drink or a pint of Abita 30 by 90 beer and a T-shirt...and they get to skip the line. This po-boy charitable... One of them is the Thanksgiving po-boy at Parkway Bakery & Tavern, a beautiful monster of a sandwich that has been harnessed for a good cause by two New Orleans restaurant families. Parkway Bakery & Tavern is teaming up with the Al Copeland Foundation, as well as Crystal Hot Sauce, in order to help save lives by conquering cancer. On every Wednesday during November, Parkway will be serving their famous Thanksgiving Poor Boy for the annual #IDidItForTheTurkey fundraiser. Parkway Bakery's Thanksgiving poboy is back, and it's only on the menu for four more days this year. Driving the news: The Thanksgiving poboy is served on Leidenheimer bread and filled with sliced turkey breast, cornbread dressing, brown gravy and cranberry sauce. It comes in a small and large. Parkway Bakery & Tavern and the Al Copeland Foundation are teaming up to release the Thanksgiving Poor Boy. The fundraiser goes to support cancer research and innovative treatments. Commencing November 1st and available every Wednesday in November, Parkway will proudly serve its renowned Thanksgiving Poor Boy, brimming with roasted turkey, stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce as part of the annual #IDidItForTheTurkey fundraiser. The Thanksgiving po-boy will be served Nov. 1, Nov. 8, Nov. 15, Nov. 22 and Nov. 29. “Skip the line” tickets are available in advance at AlCopelandFoundation.org or at Parkway on Wednesdays... The fundraiser, sponsored by Crystal Hot Sauce , Leidenheimer Baking Company and Blue Plate Mayonnaise, features Parkway’s famous Thanksgiving Poor Boy, available every Wednesday in November.
