Bring your little ones to spend an afternoon helping us milk the cow, gather the eggs, groom the animals, buck the hay, and slop the pigs. It's a fun, hands-on experience for the whole family ... The most fun aspect of the program is that our Junior Master Gardeners get to take care of the garden beds at the farm,” says Thanksgiving Point’s Education Coordinator, Morgan Hoffman. “They plan, plant, weed, compost, water, and harvest the produce with us. We have spring, summer, and fall sessions so they get to plant a variety of crops. Thanksgiving Point offers an array of different activities including the 55-acre gardens Ashton Gardens, Butterfly Biosphere insect zoo and butterfly conservatory, Museum of Natural Curiosity, Museum of Ancient Life, Mammoth Screen 3D theater, Water Tower Plaza, Harvest Restaurant, Farm Country and a 18-hole golf course. We love walking around the farm at Thanksgiving Point. There are many farm animals to feed and pet. You can also enjoy a pony ride or wagon ride. The farm has different exhibits about how farms work, but the highlight is seeing all of the animals up close. They are in the process of adding a new train ride at Farm Country, too.
